Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video

How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Compact Steel Hitch Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. So with the Pacifica, we have a good amount of storage in the back, but if you're going on a long road trip or even a short trip where you just want to get some larger, heavier, maybe some messier items, you don't want them to keep them inside your vehicle, this is a great way to get them outside while still being compact and really durable, so let's take a look. This carrier has a 500 pound weight capacity, it's made of steel with a nice black product coat finish, so it's really well built and it's gonna be durable, especially out in the elements when you're driving and things are kicking up from the bottom and hitting it. Also, it is gonna be still really lightweight, it's only gonna come in at about 25 pounds, even though it is made of steel. So if you compare that to the aluminum version, it's only a couple pounds heavier, but I think it's gonna be a lot more durable. more

Now my friends and I are planning on going to Colorado during summer and we're going to be doing some car camping, so the inside of our vehicle isn't going to be able to be used for any type of cargo because we'll be sleeping there. Now the 4Runner does have raised rails but unfortunately it's a little bit finicky whenever it comes to how much roof clearance you have along with other problems. Now, aside from all that, it's going to be aluminum, which makes this a very lightweight carrier, easy to get in and out of the hitch, and very much light enough to just hang up on the wall in your garage for easy storage when it's not in use. A lot of people don't think about that if they get a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, storing it is kind of an afterthought, and a lot of times with the heavier steel ones, they can be a pain to move around, they end up taking up floor space, so hanging on the wall is a nice option. And even though it's aluminum, it can support a weight capacity of 500 pounds, so it's built very strong. more

A cargo carrier, especially a hitch mounted one is a great way to get some extra stuff with you maybe on a road trip or maybe just to and from the hardware store. I always recommend these for things like bags of concrete, mulch, dirt, anything that tends to rip and maybe cause a mess inside your vehicle. These are more than capable of handling some heavy weight and with the open design, any dirt and debris will fall through it and anything that doesn't can easily get hosed off because it's aluminum you don't have to worry about rust and corrosion over time, it's gonna be very weather resistant while still maintaining a nice 500 pound weight capacity which should hold up very well for a long time. There's plenty of points for tie downs here. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum 60 by 22 inch hitch cargo carrier and how it fits on our 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. So with the 1500, we do have a good amount of space in our truck bed, but maybe you want a little bit of extra storage on a longer trip, maybe you just want something that's easy to load in bags of mulch or dirt, gravel, whatever it is that might make a mess inside your bed that you'd rather not deal with, this is a good way to extend that storage or get some larger, messier items out on the back, so let's take a closer look. As I mentioned, the carrier is made of aluminum, so it's really lightweight, but it's still able to support up to 500 pounds, so it's still gonna be able to get a good amount of weight where you need it to go. It's got this grid design on the inside, so you can store some smaller items-ish, but you still have enough room for that mess to fall through, we have rails that go around the outside, as well as points on the inside for you to tie things down to. That being said, because these are aluminum and they are kind of thin, when we've been testing these, if we put any sort of real pressure on there, they do flex pretty easily, so we'd honestly recommend maybe not using that if you wanna put your straps there, we'd rather use the outside rails if that's an option for you. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Toyota Highlander, we're gonna be checking out the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier. First impressions of the carrier on the back of the Highlander, I think it's a good fit, you know, this is more of a medium-sized one compared to some of the other ones out there, but still gonna give you ample room to be able to pile a bunch of stuff up back here and you know, not have to put it on the inside Highlander. I know a lot of people use these when they're going on trips and things like that, so give you a little more breathing room on the inside. Or if you just have stuff that you don't really want to put on the inside of your car, maybe a cooler or if you're doing stuff around the house maybe you need a couple bags of mulch or dirt or anything along the lines, you know, having this is gonna allow you to put all that stuff back here and keep it outside.
